who makes the best brakes?

Been using Hawk blue 9012 racing pads on the front and black on the rear of my race Corolla for yrs and it seems that they don't last as long as they used to. the pad material pulls away from the backing plate. Who else makes a racing pad for the AE86?

Unfortunately, Hawk don't make the DTC compound for the Corolla. I recently put a set on my Miata and they are pretty awesome. They are also exciting to bed in, since they throw a lot of sparks! It might be worth a call to Hawk to see if you can convince them to offer a DTC compound for the Corolla. I'm interested in a set too, actually, so I'd back you up.

I've personally used porterfields R4, R4S and Hawk HP Plus pads and have had great experiences with them. HP plus seemed a little too aggressive overall and would go R4 or R4S for street and light track duties.

Yeah, Carbotech is great. I've ran XP10 on front and XP8 on rears of my cars for years.
