Interior door panel replacement - AE86 SR5

Hey all!

I've read up on the forums about replacing or reskinning the original interior door panels. I would love to do this - the problem is, the armrest and panel is molded as one solid plastic unit. The handhold is broken from decades of use and cuts into my hand when I go to close the car door.

The local junkyard has both an 86 and an 87, but when I went to check them out today, they were LE Sedans. One was trashed, while the other one was relatively new. The 86 sedan had an almost perfect interior.

Will the interior door panels from the 86 LE Sedan fit on the SR5? If so I'll go grab them immediately.

I doubt it would. Sedan doors are usually shorter than coupe doors on the same models

Guess it's off to ebay then or something similar.

I just got the t3 door panels to replace my warped and broken zenki panels gotta say much easier to come by and look good.

But t3 doesnt make holes for the arm rest right? or you drill for it? I would like to get a pair if it can fit my arm rest on it, since my car is kouki i can take the arm rest apart.

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is the T3? I see the term on this forum quite a bit and still am not sure what it pertains to.

I suppose you could drill out for the khouki arm rests mine is zenki so I wasn't too disappointed about it. t3 is short for techno toy tuning. some refer to it as ttt or t3
