having 86 problems again
I have a 85 gts that cranks but will not start. I've check the car's fuses and relays, and it seems to be carrying spark all the way through. I took off the cold start fuel line and it wasn't running any gas; I suspect that it can be an issue with the fuel pump, but I'm not certain. What do you guys suggest I do or inspect? Thank you for your help.

does the COR behind the glovebox click when you try to start? does the fuel pump turn on?
theres a jumper plug to test the fuel pump. with the car key in the ON position, jump the 2 prong yellow plug thats next to the AFM plug. it comes out of the harness right next to it. jump that, key ON, and the fuel pump should, if its good, turn on.

the plugs not different, youre looking at the wrong one. the COR is above the ecu, so youre hearing the right clicking. the plug looks like the green one that plugs into the idle up valve bolted to the afm

so i jumped the the one yellow one to the afm and the fuel pump didnt not turn on still so is it my fuel pump that went out?

Re: having 86 problems again
What's the compression?
Does it or does it not have spark at the spark plugs?
Does it or does it not squirt a little fuel from the fuel rail when you loosen its connection immediately after cranking but no start?
Is it attempting to start, firing, backfiring(intake and/or exhaust), hiccuping, farting whatever?
Are the spark plugs wet with fuel when removed immediately after cranking but no start?
Does the exhaust pipe smell heavily of fuel?

Was the ignition in the "ON" position? Have you checked all your fuses under the hood, and under the dash, and the fuel pump connection in the trunk?
download the ae86 manual and the 4age manual.
