alternator pulley removal question?

Postby Takumi-Fujiwara » Wed Nov 06, 2013 11:59 am

Hi I was considering buying a t3 alternator pulley. How would I remove my current ae86 alternators pulley? does it come off if I undo a bolt? or do I need to use a pulley puller to remove the alternators pulley?
also installing the t3's pulley? is it straight forward and simple? or will I need any special tool to press it on?

let me know thanks.

when i changed mine out i used an impact and i sepped on the pully while i had an old belt in the groves for some grip. if you want to use a wrench you will probably have a hard time getting the nut to break loose. once the nut was removed the pully itself came off pretty easily.

Get a pulley puller/installer

So rent tool if it one time use
