Postby truenoboy » Sun Sep 08, 2013 9:00 pm

Is there anywhere that sells replacement window moldings for our cars?

Discontinued from the factory?
In some post somewhere, they tried that liquid plastic stuff, that coating that tool handles are dipped in to.
I thought about trying to get some thick wall heat shrink tubing.

No replacement parts
But you can recondition
I use steel wool then wash them
Then lacquer thinner
Then paint in the booth with trim black reduced 50/50

Save them and do as said above, recondition. If you take your time, they turn out great. No reason to toss a perfectly good set in the already dwindling marketplace.

a quart of trim black is pretty cheap too
I think about $20

1 quart of trim black can do all the trims and black bumper parts on maybe 2 or 3 GTS
