Trying to put a 1986 gts 4age swap in a 1983 toyota corolla
With a 1993 toyota corolla program. Any ideas how to make this work?

Re: 1986 4age in a 1983 corolla
Here's what you need for swap.
4age
4age rwd alternator bracket
4age rwd crank pulley
4age rwd water pump
Gts rwd water pump housing and thermostat housing
Ae86 front cross member
Ae86 steering column
Ae86 steering column lower boot
Ae86 steering rack
Ae86 inner and outer tie rods
Ae86 steering knuckles (not required but prefered)
Gts wiring harnesses engine, dash, and rear all 3
Gts guage cluster
Ae86 dash. Might require fabrication. You could try wiring the original cluster and eliminate the need for ae86 interior but would be obnoxious
Te72 transmission cross member
4age header or exhaust manifold
Gts engine brackets
Gts fuel tank
Gts fuel pump and hanger assembly
Gts main fuel hard line
Gts fuel filter
Gts fuel hose for fuel rail
Gts fuse boxes all of them.
Ae86 oil cooler and sandwich plate or a 4ac oil filter thread bolt to eliminate the oil cooler set up.
You will be required to do some custom wiring for your lights. Not too difficult but you will have to combine the harnesses for the lighting connectors.
At least 500 cash for odds and ends and anything I've forgotten. A grand would be better.
Your lower control arms will bolt to the ae86 cross member. And the cross member bolts right up no fabrication necessary. I recommend getting a gts sway bar because it's stronger and handling will minorly improve however it is not a necessity.

Re: 1986 4age in a 1983 corolla
As far as ecu I'd run a gts corolla ecu or a first gen mr2. Much easier and theyre not too expensive.
