motor keeps breaking water pumps

so my motor has broken 2 water pumps recently the first i thought it was just on its way out so i didnt think anything about it.i just swapped it out for a new one and went for a drive and all was good then CLINK and my belt i just bought went flying off the side of the road. ill try to post pics later but what happen is the water pump pulley came off the pump with the mounting bracket off the pump it happened both times but the first time my whole pump blew up in to 7 pieces this time just the mounting point came off the pump rendering it useless and to top it all off it ruined my new radiator. has anyone had this happen before i am lost here any help will be appreciated

Are you putting an ae86 clutch fan on a FWD water pump? They're not built to hold the fan, go e-fan or RWD pump.

this happen to me i purchase a water pump they gave me a water pump thats meant for a 4ac which uses d same water pump as the 4age the only thing diff was that gts has a longer neck and when u install the pulley is not going 2 line up.

yup you have 2 options get a RWD pump or swap to efan.

you probably got one from an aw11 mr2 or a FWD corolla . the 4ac has the same part number as the 4ag
