The blocks are the same, you would need to use a 4age headgasket. However, although the blocks are the same the internals are not, the 4ac is much weaker. I wouldnt really recommended swapping the heads. I would suggest doing a full swap since just swapping the head requires close to the same amount of work and not to mention you will have a stronger block and make more power my doing a full swap.

Another more experienced member might have to verify lol, but I believe only transmission differences between blocks are the bellhousing.

If you're going to do a swap for the fuel injected 4ag and you currently have an SR5, you need a bunch of stuff first AKA the GTS conversion, not only the engine. Check the home page, there is a swap page somewhere. There are ways around some of the parts you need, but it could cost more.

Are you mechanically inclined or are you willing to throw money at it assuming the person doing the swap for you will do a good job? To do a swap successfully, one needs to be willing to know about the swap so he or she can fix things as they can potentially encounter problems.

My recommendation:

do the parts of a GTS swap that deal with the engine, drop in a 4ag, as it's the simplest of all other swaps as it's a native engine.

The GZE requires modifications, fabrication and wiring. It's one of the more simpler of other options, but it's still a LOT of work. I would only attempt it if I were willing and able to it all myself.
