Fujitsubo Legalis R vs Reinhard Stainless

Postby yabaiani » Wed Sep 21, 2022 9:00 am

Any thoughts on either of these options? I know the Fujitsubo is ~2in exhaust and the Reinhard comes in either ~2in or ~2.25in.

there are actually 3 Fujitsubo LegalisR... one is a single tip big muffler, a 2nd is a dual tip big muffler, and the third is a dual tip small muffler (yes - a bit more noise).

I've now had 2 of the 3 Fujitsubo exhausts. I've had both dual tip models. The small muffler version is a bit too loud for my tastes. I preferred the larger muffler version.

I've not had the Rienhard....

I have the Reinhard stainless. It is shockingly loud with testpipes. Probably too loud for 80% of people for street driving. And i haven't taken the silencers out of the tips yet..
Also the silencers rusted a bit with the car outside for a month, and the exhaust hangs a bit too low. My ride height is pretty high but the exhaust has been a problem a few times already.

In my opinion, they're not recommended.

I dropped a few compressed AF pics here.

Just to follow up with that, I actually have the OBX knock-off of the Greddy DD Trust on my coupe. I think it sounds really good for what it is. Same style as the Reinhard, but with a muffler that sits far under the car. Fairly quiet too until you get on the throttle. My only complaint is it sits a little too low. http://www.obxracingsports.com/products.php?pk=2003

I know OP, you're most likely looking for a off-the-shelf option, but I will say Vibrant makes really good stuff. I pieced together my own exhaust and had a buddy weld it up for me. Vibrant ultra-quiet resonator and the Universal StreetPower muffler. The tip is actually a large polished truck exhaust tip that I had my buddy cut and weld onto the muffler. Here is a sound clip:
