How do I get this stuff out from under my carpet
hey guys I started stripping my carpet today and I found this junk I didnt really try to take it out today but i poked at it with my scraper and it seems pretty tough so can someone give me some tips on taking this junk out so I can check my floor pans

Im pretty sure thats the stuff that requires the dry ice removal technique.

You can get it with just a big flat head screwdriver and hammer, but it's a major pita and takes a long time. I've done it this way twice because dry ice is expensive.

Try using a heat gun to warm it up and then a big scraper to remove it. Any residue can be removed with a rag soaked in household gloss paint thinner (white spirit)
A hairdryer will also work but it will be a slow process !

i did it when it was cold out, less than 50f. used a painters multi tool and a rubber mallet.

Probably took an hour after i took the interior out. and a 5 gallon bucket full of tar crap/

before i cleaned the floor with acetone or mineral spirits.
