Melissa and i did a bunch of work on the 86 in the garage today! we went to harbor freight and bought some tools and later decided that we should get a space heater to work in the garage, not bad it was about 50* in there with the heater on.

here is the motor that i got along with the SR downpipe
Image

taking the old turbo and manifold apart
Image

SR T25 Turbo
Image

Test fitting and the manifold is for a top mounted turbo for a MR car, so i need a new manifold

Image

LOOK AT THIS FUCKING EAGLE

did some cutting of the upper radiator support and now i can take motors in and out by my self!!

Updates!!
motor mounts are on so hopefully the motor will be back in the car this weekend!!!!
Image

Image

it will fill this space...
Image

the old motor needed to have some things taken off of it, now it is looking rather bare
Image

also i got the Toms AFC from japan today! it looks rad but that is it for now, i still need to do some reading up on this
Image

Image

Image

Image

this is the little bastard that i could not find for months!!! got two of them from some cat down in TX
Image

now some questions! ( for the other forums)
this is one of the vacuum lines off of the back of the intake manifold, and IDK what it goes to
Image

a larger vacuum line dose this one go to the breather or the brake booster?
Image

on the bottom of the TVIS idk what this vacuum line goes to
Image

Lines on the throttle body, Coolant?
Image

on the back of the motor, coolant, but it looks like it should be a vacuum line

I'll try to answer your questions:

On the intake manifold, the vacuum line you're pointing at is for the brake booster. The capped one to the left is for the breather.

That line on the T-VIS goes to a metal vacuum line that is attached to the intake manifold. It seems you are missing that entire piece. If you want T-VIS you will need it, otherwise I think you can just take the T-VIS plate out completely.

Those are coolant lines for the idle air control valve coming off the throttle body. They attach to metal coolant lines that bolt onto the block.

The two blue vacuum switches there are BVSV. They attach to the EGR valve and charcoal canister. I think you can cap them? Or buy new ones since it looks like they've been smashed.

Good luck! ;)

Looking good so far! I have an oil filter relocation kit without the hoses if you want the filter to be easier to get to.

i started wiring the car the last few days ( I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I AM DOING) that and this car was never complete in my possession.

so more questions, this time its the game of where dose this plug go?

#1
white plug two wire and next to the ground at the fuse box
Image

#2
these plugs from right to left
2a one wire white
2b ground of some kind
2c one wire black
2d looks like it goes to the ALT, but its on the wrong side of the motor
Image

#3
near the coil
3a Black, one wire
b3blue clip, two wires ( See colors)
Image

#4
also next to the coil
4a one wire, black with white stripe
4b two wire white and white with blue stripe
Image

#5
also in the same group as 3 and 4
Two wire black and white
Image

#6
Two wires red and red with black stripe
Image

#7
these, IDK WTF, they seem like they go to nothing
Left to right
7a Green clip one wire
7b white plug two wire
7cblack clip two wire
7D Green clip two wire
7E white two wire
7F Green clip 4 wire
7G Yellow clip
7H To the injector resistor
7I Black clip one wire
Image

#8
next to the wiper motor
8a white clip two wire
8b black clip 4 wires
Image

9#
from the same as #8
Image

#10
10a white two wire
10b green clip two wire
Image

#11
these two are under the dash on the passenger side
11a/11B
Image

#12
under dash on the passenger side
Image

#13
i have this plug that goes to the ECU, but i am not sure where to plug it in...

from hachiroku.net
1st
That one isnt plugged in on my car
2nd
Fat black and the 2 white wires goto alternator,
Bigger white plug grounds the afm
I dont have the small white plugged in
3rd
black plugs into o2
blue plugs into the ground thing that sits between your coil and body.
4th
Those two were blocked off when I got my car, might have been for a/c?
5th
Distributor
6th
Tvis probably
8th
white plugs into windshield cleaner pump wire
11th
Those deal with a/c or hvac. Mine are unplugged as I took my a/c out.
13
There's only one spot it will plug in Im pretty sure, try all three and see which ones fits. (dont force it)
Interesting... :?: Question.. did you do this just for a fuell cell? and is it still sitting lower than the floor? Im planning on similar trunk cutting, but tubing all the way out to be used as bash bar/bumper support..and keep the floor flat, with fuel cell in the trunk..

I did new O rings, filters, caps, and seals on all the injectors
Image

Made up some fuel lines and re installed the aem FPR and rail
Image

Also the painless fule pump relay kit is mounted and needs a 12v source
Image

Last night Patrick stopped by and we went thrugh a bunch of wiring and it seems to be all together! That and the cooling system is all together! Radiator mount made, sensor for water temp gauge is in, ordered fans, stuff for the battery relocation stuff, kill switch ect. I am going to hit the garage and work for a while today and get a fan shroud made, make more brake lines, put the cash/center council back in the car.

My plan at this point will be to have the car started and running by the end of next week as long as all of the parts show up!

so i bought a welder the other day (MIG 125 wire feed) and i started working on making a bumper support for the 86

My First attempts to weld
Image

brackets on the frame rails
Image

Horizontal Support
Image

under the bumper piece
Image

Image

Tacked into place

Image

Image

with the bumper on
Image

i may add onto this, or make a new one, i still need to have zip ties to hold up the bumper, i would like to make a new one that dose not need anything to hold the bumpers up
