Hello everyone I'd like to say that I am new to this site ,and to the world of cars. Right now I have the ultimate goal of putting in a 4age 20v silvertop into my trueno. The only problem is I don't know a lot about cars. I have never done an engine swap before, but it is something that I wish to pursue. After hearing what they sound like with itbs I knew that's what needs to be in the dream car.

So far i the cheapest engine I've found is $590. But I'm a little overwhelmed I see on here a big list of things that I'm going to need. Where is the best place to begin after I have found an engine? Is my first question. I'd like to have this thing running in the next 6 months.

well be warned, the 20v swap isn't the easiest. theres a lot to do, and you did mention that...

...but if you have the determination and tools, its possible.

Bolts right up. Sr5 bellhousing keeps the clutch slave on left side which is the side of the 4ag exhause. Need a heat shield or better to get a gts bellhousing and have it on the right side out of harm and heats way. 4a is the block code so whether its a 4ag, 16v 4ag, 4agze, etc...the bellhousing bolts to the block. There are T50's from iirc 2tc and/or 3tc motors. I dont think that will bolt up

You will just have to make sure to match flywheel and clutch kit. The 20v is 212mm the T50 is 200mm.
If you run the 212 kit you will need to get the T50 throwout bearing and pilot bearing seperate.
I have those on my website but I am also trying to get Exedy to make me a 212mm kit that includes the T50 bearings.
http://matrixgarage.com/store/ae86-clut ... drivetrainQuite honestly unless you are planning on running boost or a crazy high RPM build I would just go with the 200mm combo for simplicities sake.

212mm fits in the T50
