Well, after a lot of working, school and moving 3 times, I have finally bought another AE86. This one will be my daily driver as it is overly stock. Here are some pics, more to come!
I don't have many plans but to drive it. The previous owner sent a laundry list of what he has done to the car. Replacing things with Toyota parts, even the exhaust from Toyota. The car is oddly clean and has very minor things that need to be taken care of. i.e Idling at 1500. those will be small projects that I'll be working on during my other 86's Beams Swap Seen Here: viewtopic.php?t=12811

Dont mind my Wife I have fender trim to put on the car, I knew they would come in handy someday!

I also plan to replace all of the gauge bulbs to liven up the display a bit.

Here you'll see where I plan to clean up the carpet and re-dye it. It smells like cats lol!

Things to work on: If you look khere you will see evidence that the car has been sitting. There is mildew in multiple places of the car. SO I have to get it cleaned up to ensure that it does not get worse.

That's a nice one. Is it authentic GTS or is it a conversion?

It is an authentic GTS that I got from Texas. I haven't had much time for building this since a majority of my time gets sucked up between work, school and the Beams build. So ive only done small things like oil changes and I'll be rebuilding the shifter soon as well.

Congrats. Excellent find. I know the temptation could be high to modify but please leave it stock not many left like this.

Photobucket is holding everyones photos hostage by saying we violated their policy on 3rd party hosting....like what you see on this site....so now in order to even get your photos back you have to pay them...it's BS. Dont know how much they want though. Just wish we could upload our pics here....

Wow!

That is some serious suckage. Glad I don't use photobucket. It's a good thing though, since club4ag already had 50-60% broken image links across the forum :x :x

This is the best $20 I've ever spent.

Extremely bright. However, I did not retain the dimming function for some reason. It's fine because I never drive that much at night. So it won't bother me long term.

Looking to do suspension upgrades I have to find a Cusco(just preference) lateral/panhard bar. The passenger side of my car sits higher than the drivers side. Which is weird because the suspension is stock. But I also noticed that one of the lower 4 links may have a bend in it.

So I have been dealing with the high idle issue of 1500 and getting fuel cut as well. I cleaned the IACV and still nothing. Both coolant lines were hot going to it. And when I put it in hot water it did move. Maybe it's only partially opening and closing. I also pull a VSV line and the RPMs go down(with the idle screw all the way down.). I got another iacv from an MR2 and will try it out.

Anywho in other news I had a pretty crappy single din radio no backlights or anything but overall there weren't a ton of buttons on it to learn. Nonetheless I set out to find another head unit. Looking at working from multiple corollas and a bit of research I realized that all 87 and newer Toyotas used the same wiring through the mid 00s. So I looked for a double din (got rid of the lower pocket of the precious head unit) and saw one from a 90s camry. Unfortunately I knew it had a couple of issues. The "tune/audio" button was busted. But they are cheap so I grabbed it anyway.

this specific radio is "A56813". It of course has the provision to use the factory harness radio plugs, but the back of it has another plug for expansion. It has will accommodate a media kit which has auxiliary, and bluetooth. Also has iPod/iphone connection which will charge and you can use the factory controls!!! Will do a write up on this more in depth. But the test fit of this radio is awesome.

Excuse my potato camera

No flash

With parking lights and obviously no flash. It looks soooo good with green

I've always thought OEM radios looks so much better. I have some weird aftermarket one in mine I really want to change out.

Jay: definitely. This one only cost $20 from the pick and pull. And the harness hooks right up!!!! The sound is even better too because I believe it outputs a little more power.

I recently saw a buddy of mine take out Lexus 6x9s and set them inside where the stock speakers go. The grate looks good as well! I'll so a write up on that once I find a decent set to put in.

Great coupe' grapple!

On the carpet.. I've done both cut-pile (aftermarket), and spray (rattle can). I had brands of each which were top-tier but ended up being a fail. The spray worked the best, but it ended up graying out wherever feet scuffed for long periods of time (a couple of months).

I would take out the carpet in it's entirety, and buy some serious fabric die (like RID I believe it's called). and get a huge tub of water and just let it soak in the die mixture. I think that's your best bet..

How do you like the Zenki JDM seats? I still can't decide if I like USDM GT-S seats or the JDM ones the best.

Cloud-- Thank you!!! I was thinking of just throwing it all in a giant washing machine and dyeing if necessary.

With these JDM Gt-apex sets, although they are comfy, however I like the look of the kouki GTS seats much better. Want to trade?! :?:

I love the Apex seats.. but I think I love the USDM seats more.. They both look great!

Where are you at by the way? West coast?

Interior is looking great, love the radio upgrade. The LEDs won't dim as far as I know but haven't researched that very well. I'll look into it in the future.
