AE86 Project - Restore / S2K swap

These are old pics, i dont remember ever posting them. The car has literally sat in my garage for 2 years since completion, and i decided a couple weeks ago to redo some stuff and get it out from collecting dust. I had a couple other projects, and i had been neglecting this one. A few people already know about this project and want to be updated so I figured starting up a thread would be the easiest way. Anyway for those that don't know what this project is, The original setup was a 2004 Honda S2000 engine with a Comptech Super Charger into my 1986 Toyota Corolla GTS w/ a complete restoration on the Chassis.

I decided to change some stuff recently, and do a small turbo instead with some some Wiring updates and changing the ECU from AEM to MoTeC.

Looks great!

Fyi that style of hood pin has a bad track record. I tried a set a few years back after a few gurus told me not so use them because they've seen them break. After initial installation I was fiddling with them trying to get the height right, and I broke a fastener in half when lightly hand tightening adjustment nuts. The metal was porous on the inside of the stud!

Should have that part done this weekend, pretty much done with everything else. So maybe a couple more weeks and it will be back on the road.

Once the car is complete, you'll be saying, "VTEC just kicked in yo!"

Which rear end are you running? Also, can you post a picture and any details you have of the drive shaft? I'm not sure what I'm going to run in my F22c car just yet.

never added it up. but its alot. If you have to really add it up, you shouldnt be attempting a build. especially a ground up build.
