What's up name is Lester and is my 86 GTS rolla that I recently picked up. Sold my old 92 Civic hatch in order to finally get an 86 that Ive always wanted
My old hatch:
Image

My 86 Came from Nevada very clean no rust dropped on greddy coilovers, Buddy club spec II exhaust, stitch welded chassis, TRD wing, Whiteline Bars and Energy suspension bushing all around.Rota Shakotan 15 x9 all around on 195/50/15 tires, with fender flares believe ebay . Unfortunately it came with gutted interior and missing quite a few panels . I only received a few from the previous owner lol

The night that I picked it up..

Image

After I took all the extra parts the car came with I decided to clean up and scrub down the whole inside since there was no panels lol

I wasnt really to happy with the paint , So first things first sent it off to paint shop to get repainted again same color scheme While and Black lol cant wait to get it back

The same day I was going to drop off my hatch to the body shop there was a dyno day event right down the street so stop by for it bit. First time driving the hatch for a while and it was fun not going to lie lol. Just need to get rid of the loud Buddy club exhaust

Few pics taken at Dyno day

Love how your car sits!
If you don't mind me asking, what flares are those?

Some updates on 86:

I got finally managed to get a set of redlines for the hatch!

Image
Image

Dont mind the partial grinded down rivets from the previous body guy who was suppose to paint my hatch. had for two months and didnt do anything accept that and then disappeared on me. So I took my car back and brought it somewhere else .

Managed to get a set of the amber corner lights:
Image
Image

Brought it to a different shop quoted me the same price as the other guy and almost have it done then less than a week

Image
Image
Image

Unfornately i found the the fenders and rear quarters were cut lot more than I thought . The rear quarters were left wide open to -_- , so hopefully getting that welded up and have to put fender flares back on ( hopefully carbon fiber ones if I can find someone who makes them )

Also removing the rear reflectors on the rear quarter panels and shaving off the attena hole to get a cleaner look getting it repainted white and black .

But other than those minor issues the car was extremely solid. No rust was found on the body at all, no crazy accidents or major body wasnt need or done previously. Not many layers of paint either on the white and original blue

update on the 86 . Managed to get my zenki front bumper repainted how it suppose to be for the time being. The body shop was not happy on the result how the car came out and would to get it back to repaint the whole car over again . No complaints here lol. While its there Im going to get the rear quarters welded up since they are wide open because of the fender flares unfortunately.

Here are few pics of the hatch recently few meets/shows i went to this year mostly NY , NJ , CT most were 3 + hour drive to each but def worth and the 86 made it with no issues

I also managed to finally get the final small pieces to my interior didnt realized the previous owner had given them to me in box so now i have full extra set of interior lol. Bought a molded carpet and dash cap to help with interior hoping to install that soon
Still looking for extremely clean door panels. Trueno mudflaps. Carbon fiber interior pieces . carbon fiber valve cover. Front lip I have j blood rep sides and looking for the rear fins.

Future plans also include either Bride Cuga seats or FRS seats. a little lower. SQ kit to eliminate the big coolant piping. COP set up to eliminate the distributor so I ran run stock mounts instead of the solid brakctes car rattles like no more tomorrow . ( distributor to close to the firewall ) . Also looking watanabes R type or SSR long champs.

Also sources out a authentic TRD Nardi Steering wheel as well with the steering wheel cover!. Also have a Nostalgic Grains Engraves wooden shift knob he does alot custom engraving and pieces check it out if you have some time ( http://www.nostalgic-grains.com/) Put Leds in the cluster as well to brighten up things an put dash mat cover.

Been a while since I posted havent really done much exterior wise with the hatch pretty content on how it sits currently mostly focused on getting the interior cabin situated since I was developing rust on the door jams. So I stripped down the car inside and got the door jams, trunk jams underneath the hood and trunk and doors painted and fixed up any rust that had develop over time. Also managed to get my fender flares done in carbon as well. I also installed the SQ waterline kit as well alot room in the bay now haha

Future plans to run the j blood front still, or get oem zenki front lip in carbon as well , hi rise headers, and get the engine bay painted next
