►Paint Porn. Anyone used BASF Carizzma, Valspar House of Kolors?

Lately my evil twin brother has been driving the car again. He's the one who found the rev limiter function in the ECU while doing a 4:2 downshift at wide open throttle.

And he's been mumbling about paint, fresh paint, and making it just a little more special then good old 3E6 "Super Red". Maybe just factory, maybe a bit more black in a panda fashion, not necessarily JDM since the car isn't JDM anyhow.

But I was curious ot know if anyone has used House of Kolor metallic, or the Carizzma metallic, and how that stood up. HOK is way cheaper than the basic Carizzma paints, and even my ETB doesn't want to know about the real real shiny Carizzma Effects line, which can run two or three grand per gallon.


If you've seen the luscious deep wet color and shine on Janet's car on the forum main page, you'll know why I say "paint porn". There's just SO much more that can be done with paint, than plain old 3E6, even if that was pretty hot in it's time.
