Here is some tips if you can't log in your Club4AG user name. But I assume some of you have the common sense to try stuff before making a new account.
25212 users and counting. But have to admit, it is new forum software is more modern. LOL

But anyway............here you go.
These are for people who mostly register July of 2012 before. Don't know people who register after, but worth a try if you like your Old Club4AG screen name.

1.Check if your Club4AG screen name is listed by "Members" tab on the top right corner of the Club4AG or just click this

2. Your Club4AG screen name is related to the E-mail address is connected to.
3. If your old password doesn't work or you just can't remember it, request a NEW PASSWORD to the E-mail that you used to registered.
4. GO to your E-mail address and get the new pass word.
5. Log in and replace password you can remember.

The forum server for the web went down without warning on our host server with no warning on 12/30/2012 and some of all of the posts and user accounts have been potentially lost. We are hard at work to constructing a new forum host and server quickly, and we hope you will return with the same enthusiasm and support that you all have shown since 1998. I'll update on how things are going to return with a much more capable and powerful solution and I ask that you remain patient, keep working on your cars, and post up with enthusiasm when we go back up online. Most all of the usernames that was effective at July of 2012 are still on my backup records and existing users should get an email requesting to update your log-in when we are back.

Thank you for your support and patience during this downtime.

UPDATE: We are almost ready to be back online, the forums should be working now, but we are still doing maintenance so please be patient if things change in looks or feel as we tailor the site and work with changes in features.

Former moderators have not been reassigned yet. Moto will get to this as soon as he can. We are still not 100% yet and working through alot of things with the new front end and forums software so we appreciate your patience as we dial in everything.

For those with original username issues, if you did not receive an email, then it is possible that someone else may have registered it before the import process was completed. If that is the case you can PM me with your possible email addresses and I will try to search the old user database for your old email address. If it exists in the old user database, I can change the username profile with the old email address and you can recover your password from there.

If your email address doesn't exist anymore, or if you don't remember your old email address, then I probably will either need to ask Moto or a Mod to verify/vouch for you so we can return the username back to you, which might take a little time to confirm.

Again thanks for everyone's understanding and patience as we try to get everything back to normal...we are doing the best we can with the limited time and resources we have.

I did all that, maybe I haven't waited long enough for the email? I made a new name anyways.

Hmm no. But it went straight to regulations mail on my other email address, both are yahoo. I'll go see.

MY new password E-mail went to my spam folder instead of Inbox. I have yahoo as well.

Maybe this is an isolated case but something I experienced

Anybody who requested their username changed in these past 1-2 years and have tried to log on without any success, try logging on with your old user name and see if that works.

Even if we got our old usernames, wont it be unlikely that they will be merged together and what we have been playing with these past few days will be deleted? I was under the assumption that this beta club4ag was to be wiped clean before the attempt of uploading the original accounts.

Is there anyway I can capitalize the lettering in my username?

We'll have to wait and see what happens

Thanks to AZNWOKS for the explanation. I am in the process of importing all the old users, it's just going to take me some time since there are over 40K users and depending on server load I can sometimes only import less than 500 users at a time. I am currently at user names that start at "M" so about halfway throught the list. I will be working on this daily as I have time so please be patient.

If you are the original owner of a name, and have found that someone else has registered it before we imported it, not to worry, we can determine it by the old email address that the address was assigned to and if Mods or Moto can validate the request, the login will eventually be reassigned back to the original owner.

Thanks for everyone's understanding and patience as we work through this migration and recovery process.

I would like the "6" in my username to be a "4" and I would like to use my old email address but it wont let me, any suggestions and thanks for what you are doing, it has to be a load to do all this.

All username imports have been completed. Please follow AZNWOKZ's original post on how to retrieve your password if you are the original owner of that username.

At this time I cannot change usernames if another account with the same login already exists from the username import process, since that means it was previously registered on the old board.

Any issues with username ownership will need to be handled by Moto or when he gets the mods back online so they can review the situation and determine proper ownership.

Most likely your old email address is already registered. Follow the instructions in the original post to recover your password to your old email account.

My old user name is not on that list just the new one. Now I was able to update and use my old email, so I think roach_84 doesn't exist any more. If it's not to much trouble could I get the old name back??? If not I understand, thanks again for getting the site up again!!!!

I never was able to recover my old account. I'v had it since 2001. Dagnabbit! It hurts my hart seeing it in the members list. Rip-FishyWARREN

I typed my SN and e-mail address that is yahoo.co.jp domain that could not find my original account.
I registered again with same SN, password but, with gmail account that let me create new (?) account with same SN.
Assuming I am no longer mods, right? .....or eventually it will go back to old status??

You might also want to try ALL your OOOOOLLLDD email addresses.
I had the same problem today and was successful using some old gmail address I don't even use anymore (one of those embarrassing, stupid ones, my first email type deals.. ) had to bring it back from the dead by entering my mother's maiden name and first grade teacher and everything!
But then, bingo! - I see Moto's invite to update password! --along with countless other messages for viagra, timeshares, credit card, and of course:

Hello , I'd like to get my old screen name back. I see it in the members list but it won't let me log in as it says it cannot find the username/email. Can you change my email (if different) to funk9000@gmail.com and send an activation email. My screen name was "funkmachine" by the way. May I also ask if I can get my name in all caps?
