3M "Paint Defender" Spray?

3M "Paint Defender" Spray?

Anyone tried this stuff? I just saw it in an Autozone flyer. I'd call it bunk but 3M's stuff usually works very well. They say that you spray it on, just like spray paint, but over a freshly waxed surface (!) and it turns into a chip-guard layer of plastic that will peel off cleanly in a year.

Considering the road rash we get on our hoods...I'm tempted!
