Tor, I didn't see any door stickers on the web site.
1985 style, the ones for the lower half of the door only. Any closeups so I can take a good look?
Are they screened white on clear vinyl, or cut from white?

Our products are always better than oem. Here are some pics of our products on customer cars! Ms. J works at Toyota and she has been a loyal customer.

To answer your question, all of our decals are thermal process inked on clear vinyl. We do not do die cut. Our machines are over $100,000; more than peoples homes in America.

We also print for Ford, Yamaha and Nigro! We also print JDM Decals for Carland JPN.

Go to webiste and you can see our work!

Did see this one:

Image

It is just hard to see against the gray car, if that's the same white that the red cars had ?

[edit]

Looks like this is a white background with clear outlines for the lettering, where the red cars have a clear background with white outlines.

Bolt in rear end upgrade, Sourcing axles, ring and pinions have become rare and if they are available people ask rediculous prices for a fairly beat unit. Weir/Spence used to sell them on here but im guessing he got burnt out from the all old forum drama.

20V ARP head studs.
You basically need to build a kit using ARP components. All available here. http://matrixgarage.com/store/20v-top-end

I was going to look into having them put together a kit but the truth is the individual components are cheaper than the 16v kit.

Heater Core
If we can find a proper sized core I would be happy to make a heater core. The only ones I found with good diversity in small sizes are the Bell IC cores and that in it's self sets the price pretty high.
If I got enough interest I would look into it more though.

Header
If there is a unit that I could replicate this would be very easy. If not then it still wouldn't be too hard to come up with something.
I already make some turbo manis for the MR2 and have access to flanges and tubing and stuff.

I can make custom intake and exhaust manifolds and modify stock manifolds. I make intake flanges for all four gens of 4AGE and exhaust flanges.

I would remove EGR bungs as long as it's "for offroad use only".

Would it be possible to make some sort of adapter kit that would allow for easy bolt in of another more common rear end?

Problem with the AE86 market:
-Build me this part!
-Ok! I built it! That will be $500!
-.....kinda expensive...how about $100?....actually....I don't want it anymore you can keep it.
-$500 custom part that everyone wanted but no one wanted to buy sits on shelf

It is extremely hard building parts for the AE86 market. So many members want different variations of the same thing as well. It's hard to build quality parts that wont break for under $100 while still making a profit.

It's why group buys work much better, otherwise it costs more money to develop and produce the part than you make selling it.

HAS, it isn't just he AE86 market. Everything in retail is that way. Everyone wants a rush, NEEDS AND MUST HAVE A RUSH, and then weeks later you finally get them and they say they don't want it. Or don't want to pay what they agreed to. That's just business, you get your deposit up front or payment up front and if someone changes their mind, hey, that's their problem.

Of course it doesn't help that most of the demographic that buys cheap old econosports is, well, young and broke and may have some additional problems with money and commitment, but there are plenty of credit stiffs in the high end markets as well. If I went to a machine shop and didn't fork up the deposit up front, no problem. The job would sit, untouched and undone, until I did.

Last time I needed a custom alternator pulley (not for the car) it ran something like $110-120 and that was without any lightening cuts or holes or anodizing either. ANd I had to chase down five shops before I could find one who would just do a simple piece of lathe work "this"month instead of in two months.

^^agreed

I spend half of my time on club looking in the WTB section. I have lots of things I want to make for the community that is in demand but the production end makes it difficult. Making a $250 bash bar costs $3500 in shop equipment. It's a big investment you hope pays off.

This year I'm hoping to do more of the following:
-Bash bars for the Levin model
-Front strut bars
-More drivetrain/rear end parts from MFactory
-Axles for the AE86 brand new
-Transmission rebuild options/solution to this never ending problem

I only want to build racing oriented product. Made for cars that see track time and do work. Solutions to problems my friends and I have encountered on the track.

Racing oriented product. Hmmm...Carbon fiber any good for those axles? <G>

Titanium tranny gears, with lightening cuts & holes in them?

(These are reasons why I don't race, and why Larry Ellison can be so good at it with the America's Cup.)

That would be nice but would be double the price of any members car lol. Just solutions to problems.

Freeway driving sucks with a 4.7 final= developed the MFactory longer 5th gear $350
No one can source JDM bumper brackets= SwangBiz bash bars $250
Junk corolla axles aways break= new axles to be made
4AG starters are useless= rebuild kit or conversion kit for different starter

It's really just been a process of breaking things, being frustrated that there is no product available or everything sucks, and just saying screw it and making your own instead. Like, since no one wants to carry rebuild parts for the T50 anymore I've started looking towards the Ford T-5 trans instead as an option. Easy to source, you can even buy them new from Summit. It's becoming a better option lately to use muscle car/domestic parts as even as the years go by they will continue to make parts for them due to the larger market.

Taking an already made, readily available product and adapting it for a different use is A LOT easier than starting from scratch.

im liking this thread a lot... I also think some day interior screws will become a popular demand. im sure you can still get them from the deal or other cars but to have a complete interior (or exterior for that matter) screw kit with labels like the mopar kits that are available will be a sweet thought in the future. same with oe intake set up that ive seen like 5 times in my life.

An iron foundry to cast stainless steel brackets??

I would have thought the brackets needed to be stamped or forged, not cast. I'd think you're going to need a machine shop or CAD milling, not a forge for that.

That little bracket was cast originally. It is the affordable way to keep cost down anyway.

Anything to do with "stainless" tends to make people run and hide. Or ask for a blank check and your wallet. I tend to think of forges and casting as two different operations, and a lot of casting houses can't work with stainless, it demands more than other metals.

But there are plenty of places that will cast stainless for you. Try this guys for a price:

http://www.milwaukeeprec.com/

I'd still be surprised if low-volume casting beat out machining for the part.

OEM replica dashboard (they exist for sooo many cars it is getting kind of ridiculous that there isnt one out there for AE86s yet)
Complete OEM quality or higher carpet and floor mat sets
OEM-same seat reupholstery kits (would need custom fabric made)
ALL the rubber stuff, seals, stripping, hoses, even shifter boot
Glass

I would LOVE to see the JDM seats be made available in new condition in the US. I'd pay up to about $1000 bucks for a pair of them if they were available (in new condition).

Now, to address some of the concerns of the pessimists: Yes, the AE86 is a rare car. Parts suppliers should probably plan on global distributions if they intend to sell more than 50 units of whatever a year. AE86 enthusiasm is truly a global thing. There aren't many ae86s in any single country except maybe for Japan, but all of them put together and they really start adding up. There are QUITE deep catalogues for a bunch of cars from the 60s and 70s that aren't any more common than the AE86. The difference is that their owner base is generally older (and richer) and has a strong demand for restoration parts. If there are enough 86 owners with the money and the desire, it WILL happen.

I cant wait he day I can get an AE86 catalog like something from Moss Motors or Victoria British or Motorsport Auto.

"There aren't many ae86s in any single country except maybe for Japan, but all of them put together and they really start adding up."

Well...I don't see any collectors' market for the base model cars. For the SR-5s, a small market. And the real market apparently for the GT-Ses under their various names and variations.

But when you say"really adding up" what on earth are you seeing? Five thousand cars still running? Ten? Globally? Just how many do you think, or know, were or are out there? All that I've ever heard was "damned few" and that doesn't make enough of a market to ask a fabric mill to start making up custom runs of cheap fabric. The carpet was nothing special, good quality (way better than the upholstery) but at least that can be sold for other users.

Market? No, really? You know that even the replacement market for US pony cars was near zero for thirty years, and that's talking about a market that makes all of the early Toyota production look like a rounding error?

I offered $1,000 or more for a pair of uncracked/unfaded very good/excellent/or new redline kouki coupe lights, and never got a single hit. I have a feeling they're in Japan somewhere, but I am casual conversationalist in Japanese, with hiragana and katakana reading skills, so no way I'm getting help overseas without an English-speaking person. If there were high-quality replicas of kouki coupe redlines I'd buy a pair since I can't seem to bribe/steal/shower with money someone for a real pair.

Oh, and replacement fan shrouds for the radiator fan. Need one of those, but can't find them anymore.
