• Just got my first car!!!

Yes, I'm 16, yes I got an ae86, yes it was because of Initial D. I've been after one since I was 12 and now, I finally have one! And yes, I know I can get better cars for $4,000, but that's not why I bought one. The sound of the 4age, the feel of the chassis rocking, the simplicity of the car, and yes, Initial D, got me into buying it. And no, I don't plan on using it as a drift car, just plan on using it as a DD and part-time track car. It's in great condition, <60k miles on the motor (thank you Japan 8-)

), and no rust (except for some surface rust in the usual places). Pics will be up soon

Are there any things you guys would recommend I do to it? Any tips or tricks for certain things?

Crazy amount of bondo on the right rear quarter panel, and annoying dent on the left front quarter panel, and some small rust spots on the roof and probably on the hood, and second gear pops out sometimes, but those aren't anything major and can be fixed without much trouble, Love my hachi

I'll have to change the color soon, so it'll probably be a panda scheme (red/black), I'm also looking at a Lexus blue if I can afford it

The Camarillo guy gave up on it after he spent too much money on it. He wanted to make an N2 ae86, so, with the car, I have a TRD wing that he attempted to install earlier 8-)

The owner, Robert, is super helpful and will even bid on stuff you find on yahoo japan. i found a zenki rear skin for $48 buy it now, he got it and shipped it over to me. shipping a box that size kills it, $300+, but it was still worth it with the other stuff he had on hold for me.

^Thank you Moto-san! I drove it around the neighborhood today and I'm proud to say that I didn't stall the car on my first time driving manual! 8-)

All those years of practicing my shift work down the hall and in the dentist's office finally paid off!

I wish I could keep the color but the paint is cracking (not even fading) and the rust is starting to spread. So I have to get some primer and paint on the car ASAP. BTW, any paint schemes in mind? I want to do a red/black panda color or a lexus dark blue, like this:

My dad left the ae86 in accessory mode for 3 nights straight, so now the battery is dead :evil:

now he owes me a new battery, hopefully I can convince him to get an Optima dry cell :twisted:

^The insurance company will come to jump the battery, IDK why when all you need are some jump wires and another car, but eventually I'll need a new battery, sooner or later.

Well, the car starts now, I gave it some gas and it decided to start, the battery has some charge now and hopefully it'll stay that way

, and I didn't leave it in accessory mode, :lol:
