New to 86's checking in

Hey guys I'm Meesh. Im from North Carolina and I'm looking into getting an 86.

Currently I have a 95 240sx that I drift every once in a while and have fun tinkering with. It just has a stock motor and good suspension setup. I have recently been posting it for sale or trade in my local classfields. I found an 86 that looks like it would be a good time. I have always been intrigued by them so I offered my car. The guy is down to trade so I will be heading up this weekend to look at it. Its an 85 gts coupe with a redtop 4age. Its caged, has cusco coilovers, cusco braces, kaaz 2 way, gutted interior, cam, bored, hydro e brake, bucket seats, and a lot of other race car things. However I am slightly confused he keeps also saying its a built 7rib engine or something? Anyone know what that means? Ive been doing lots of research about them recently and they look like a great car to tinker with. Im gonna be dailying it with the cage and everything haha. Just thought Id post up and introduce myself and see if anyone has input or knows what the 7rib is?? Thanks!

7-rib block with early TVIS "bigport" head. Note that the intake ports are
arranged in two pairs with a larger gap between the center two ports.

Late model non-TVIS "smallport" head. This head has four equally spaced ports
and an oil drain at the rear of the head that is not present on the bigport head.

The 7-rib block can come with either head. The original GTS engine was a 3-rib
with slightly smaller bigend journals, and smaller gudgeons. The 7-rib is considered
to be stronger, and is basically the same as the block on the later 20V engine.
