Re: DOT ? FOR GTS CALIPERS.,
First let me just point out that this should have been in the tech section.
Now on to the question... Are you talking about the DOT 3, DOT 4? If so the difference is in the temperature tolerance before the fluid boils. I don't remember the numbers and I'm too lazy to google it but let's say DOT 3 can handle up to 300* F and DOT 4 can handle up to 375* F. DOT 5 if I remember is made of some other type of material though that eats up some part of the brake system that production cars have because it's supposed to be for race use, don't quote me on that part though. So "performance" wise it doesn't differ except for if your braking really hard that the temperatures rise that much because if the fluid boils it builds up air in the lines.

Re: DOT ? FOR GTS CALIPERS.,
DOT 3, 4 and 5.1 are compatible with your braking system, so any of them should work well. For normal street driving you probably don't need anything more than DOT 3. There are some racing fluids and the like that are DOT 4/5.1 that can handle much higher braking temperatures, however they tend to absorb moisture even easier than DOT 3, and as such should be changed out more frequently.
DOT 5 is silicone-based and is NOT meant for use in systems like the AE86 has. Do NOT use it!
