My old project
viewtopic.php?f=28&t=16462

1) Clean the panel / plastic parts
2) Prep the panel (mask / apply adhesive promotor for extra sticky)
3) Paint with interior paint (ALWAYS paint the lighter color first -> then, darker color)

For plastic parts, I used duplicolor products. Available at any auto supply stores including Walmart.
I suggest NOT to sand the interior parts since it may lose the original pattern / texture of the parts.

Bought this because i couldn't find the other ones at any walmart or autozone lol..they were like 20 bucks for a little packet but i think these would work.

Also for the plastic, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009 ... 0DER&psc=1 I bought these. I was going to use it on the plastic because I seen a lot of people use it on the reiews. What you think and Which did you use btw?

First link for repair kit looks very similar to the one that I used. Sorry but, my project was over 10 years ago.
Second link for the interior paint is exactly the same one that I posted in my initial post.
Very great product that I even paint my dash long time ago.

Image

This dash used to be BLUE that I painted to BLACK by using the duplicolor interior paint.
Just don't rush, 99% of the project is prep (cleaning / masking ). Good luck.

I use the same paint to do my interior plastics. What adhesive do you use to make the paint stick better? The paint scratches off easily without it.

I think he did really well on his project but, I think entire process was much easier if he remove the dash OUT from the car.
As you may know, there is a product called dash cap that is available for AE86.
I had this on my Corolla, too that if you are going to do this, I highly recommend that you remove the dash out from the car.
Good luck and let me know how it goes... ;)

SEM makes very high quality interior paint for vinyl and plastics. I did all my plastics with it and you can see my process in the build log.

Honestly, I don't think it's worth it to try and paint interior parts. Even with SEM "interior" paint, I still had issues. Also, even at it's best result, the paint would scratch and score very easily. I would recommend just using a quality satin or flat black (non-gloss) wrap. Then you can just pull it off and try another hue until you get it right :)

The photo you posted here has been one of my key inspirations I found of an interior when I first got my car car a few years back. Thanks for sharing Super!
