Hey guys, I'm looking to get into an old corolla. I have a Nissan 240sx that I am in the middle of completely rebuilding from the ground up. ( I want the car to still be in my garage 20 years from now) One of the cars I want to have is an old corolla Hatch, amongst other cars from the late 80's early 90's. If the price is right I will definitely buy a coupe too.
Year- does not matter
Body style- hatch or coupe, REALLY prefer hatch
Body MUST BE STRAIGHT
Color- doesn't matter
Mods- prefer stock or close to it. I am not looking to pick up someones drift car.
5 speed or auto
Must be in Decent shape, I have seen the stripped shells with asking prices that made me laugh hysterically. Please be aware of what you are selling.
I understand that it may be sentimental to you but you have to be reasonable and realistic, as do I.
CASH IN HAND! Ideally, I am looking for a hatch for a decent price and could use some work. Shells are ok, as long as all it really needs is a motor and transmission. I do not have the time to go out and buy brand new windows, full interior etc. I would prefer a car with the motor still there. Here is a much easier list to understand.
Rust- can not be too much rust to where cutting it out and welding in new metal would compromise the body.
What I would pay
Up to 1000- Car needs some motor work (maybe doesnt even have a motor) or needs a new trans. Maybe needs some bodywork/paint and new interior parts.
1000-2000- Car should be in better condition than the above, as one would think.
2000-3000- Better condition than the above.
3000-3500- Honestly am not looking to even buy a car in this range. I want somewhat of a project car, not junk nor do I want a completely restored piece (For 3500 I know I will not get a completed resto project, I'm just saying)
