WTB: a/c system
WTB: a/c system
Looking for a complete a/c system for a gts. Not sure if the sr5 a/c system was the same. Either way, if you have it all for the engine bay [I have the stuff under the dash] please hit me up. Thanks.

Re: WTB: a/c system
It may not be so simple. There are at least two (early/late) versions of the system, plus different mounts and brackets depending on the equipment in the car. Then for each model year, there is "port of entry" aka "factory" air, versus dealer installed air, using different parts for each. If you are getting a complete system, it won't matter which (dealer/factory) you get, but you will need a set that matches your engine and mounts up. You'd need to get parts numbers or confirm that what you are getting is coming from the exact same car, or it may not mount up.
And condensors wre sometimes replaced with smaller generic parts IIRC.
Having seen the way evaporators can rot out from junk in the air ducts, I'd suggest a new one of those, at least, unless you open up the plenum and confirm yours is in great shape. Leaves and grass get sucked in, turn to sludge on top of it, rot it out over time.
And all new o-rings, which the dealers used to have as a set. And of course, you MUST use a new receiver/drier, not a used one.
The good news is that R12 prices seem to have dropped, $30-50 per pound now, so putting the system back with R12 so it runs right, shouldn't cost more than $100-150 more than a conversion job that doesn't blow as cold.

Facebook is like a tar baby, I don't get why people tell people "go to my facebook page". Because you can't access a Facebook page unless you're a Facebook member, and once you're a member, they'll spam you mercilessly asking you if every friend of every friend of every friend who has ever contacted anyone else you know on facebook, is someone you urgently need to friend.
