For Sale..... $8000 or best offer - car is located in Portland Oregon

1986 Corolla GT-S, (kouki), 5 speed, hatchback, 127,000 miles. Carbon Blue(code 210) exterior with complete black kouki interior(including privacy cover). Currently no decals/vinyl. Electric windows, sunroof, rear wiper, power mirrors, A/C, P/S. It will come with the 3 spoke leather steering wheel, spare electric window door panels, some spare parts.

This is a complete fully operational(A/C inop) daily driver my wife has been using for the past 2 years. The reason the vinyl was removed was do to the new paint, my wife also liked "lower visibility"... less people asking her if she'd sell it... :D

We are selling now because her job will now require putting over 20000 miles a year on(travelling all over)... as opposed to her current position where she put about 7000 miles a year on(commuting to office 9 miles away)

$8000 or best offer The car is located in Portland Oregon

email me to set up a time to look and go for a test drive - oldeskewltoy@yahoo.com

Is the car stock? Everything working on it? Any issues at all? Clean title? Does the A/C work?

To try and answer some of your questions.

1) The A/C is installed, and complete, but none functioning. I've not even tried to diagnose it. With that said, put some freon in and see what happens.

2) I've owned the car for a little over 2 years now, so I do not know its entire history. Yes, there is some evidence of an accident earlier in its life (new fenders, some signs of repair) BUT the car drives straight, true, with no weird or unusually tire wear. This IS my wife's daily driver... I would NOT allow her to drive a dangerous car!

2a) The title is clear and good

Here is a pic from 2 years ago when we did a MAJOR service... t belt and tensioner, flushed brake fluid, installed plugs, wires, cap and rotor, axle bearings too

...And people say that "Initial D Tax" doesn't exist. Not saying it shouldn't sell for this - good old supply and demand dictates the price. But it does remind me that I paid $3500 for my first 1985 GTS Hatch, with about 130k on it in 1996 (very nice shape, thank you). ;)

I saw a mint sr-5 that was bone stock sell for $6k so what he's asking doesn't seem entirely crazy especially for someone who wants a unmolested car.

Initial D is more looking for a drift candidate.... although ANY AE86 can be a drift car... NOT many can be a solid, reliable, everyday driver. So in some ways this is the "aftermath of drift" tax.... as stated below... an unmolested car

Wow you paid $3,500 in 1996, you can't blame that on initial d tax haha, that's like paying over 7k in current times haha, minimum wage was $4 in 1996 and current minimum wage is a little over $8. I think this 86 is a great deal because its in excellent condition, has very low miles, this 86 has lower miles(127.000ml) than the 86 you bought in 96', and its a rare color, priceless. Well that's my meaningless 2 cents... glws p.s. I want this car bad, I would have snatched it up if it was in cali...

this is silly expensive for a 1986 Toyota. still.. if you want a clean one, you gotta pay. i never, ever, ever see these cars in this nice of condition. if i had $8k and decided not to buy a myriad of other cars or REALLY wanted an 86, this would be a perfect choice.

props for SOMEONE maintaining one of these cars properly. i would love to own it. would you take payments? LOL
