I bought this car bone stock and beat up in 2009 and Ive restored and built it into what it is today. I have hefty receipts from Performance Options in Oakland from when they finished the swap for me/work done afterwards. I have all the paperwork from every time it was smogged and when it went to the state ref to be BAR’d. I just don’t love the car like I used to and I would rather use the money from selling the car to finish my Bachelors degree and help out financially at home. 1976 Toyota Celica GT. Clean Title. Original Blue California License Plates. 4AGZE swapped from a 1989 USDM MR2 donor. California BAR stickered.

Cons
Rear glass weather strip should be replaced (I “mickey mouse” repaired it by using clear silicone which has been ok for now)
No a/c, p/s
Front windshield scratched from when a front wiper blade fell off (more cosmetic if anything)
Minor rust, most is at behind front wheels, but negligible for a car this age
Could use an alignment, that’s more of a preference thing
Voltage gauge reads off sometimes and could probably use a more accurate oil psi gauge (again preference)
Fuel gauge reads ¾ at full tank (fuel sender had to be bent during fuel injection conversion)
E-brakes hold, but could be better (Holds on my driveway incline, but on SF streets maybe)
Some interior is missing/wont fit due to mods
I built this car to handle: the corners/twistys scare the sh*t out of every one of my passengers. Having this car over 5 years pretty confident worked out 99% of the bugs. This used to be my daily and Ive driven as far as Oakland and back numerous times. There is a lot of cool stuff/items/things to point out I am missing.
Recently new Subaru battery, alternator, rear hatch rust repaired and new OEM Toyota hatch weatherstrip. Aisin oil and water pump, valve adjustment, bluetop camshaft swap, oil filter sandwich O rings. Ive kept meticulous personal maintenance records for the car. Genuine Toyota coolant, oil changed every 3,000 or 3 months with k&n oil filter. ASE Certified Master Tech and California Smog tech. Loyal Toyota enthusiast (I have the tattoos to prove it)
$10,000 FIRM includes the car and everything extra I have for it including new in box Toyota JDM GZE 0.5mm oversize pistons, extra “Toycool/Rhett” 4ag-w58 bellhousing, factory rims, factory carpet, ect…
$7,000 FIRM comes with factory rims, no deck or speakers, no fender mirrors, no extras.
I wont take payments or bullsh*t. Unless you have cash in hand Im the one driving on the road test. My time is at a premium. Car will be smogged upon purchase, but will come with the High flow cat installed (cat is not smog legal).

Those 30k trade schools are profit driven and a joke (pay your way through instead of putting in the effort). I go to San Jose State University so 10k is about a year tuition. Ive been in the automotive field as a Technician for the past 6 years straight out of highschool and I am wayy burnt out both physically and mentally how the crooked the automotive field is and how its been on a rapid decline. Definitely been ready for a career change and if selling this car can give me a year to not worry about funds for school Im all for it.
