Postby EastCoast_AE86 » Wed Jun 26, 2013 4:53 pm

Hi, I'm looking for some recommendation for tires size for my WATANABE 15x11 -38 offset. I would like a stretch look. What do you guys recommend?

-Thanks !

Man when you find a tire let me know. I have 15.9.5 wats for the rear and im having some issues. Spent all day driving around looking for a tire. Well actually i found a few tires but the problem im having up in sac ( so far) is alot of the bigger tire shops wont mount a tire on my rim that is not in manufacture spec width size. ie. stretch or just mounting period. they wont mount a 225/45/15 on a 9.5 when an 8.5 is the rec rim size.

I narrowed it down to the BFG g force rivals, Toyo R888 and Nitto Nt01... there is a nancook in there too. The Toyo will come in a 235 but i think that is as wide as we can get for our 15's. There is more options for the 16's but jesus where is tne 15 inch love. i have a feeling ill have to go to an non big tire shop and see if they can mount these tires..

Keep me posted on what you find..

Ev.

Would suggest a 215/50 personally. I run a 205/50 Yokohama S-Drive on my 15x10.5-31 SSR FMs. Nice stretch while retaining a fairly nice contact patch. The S-Drives have tons of grip in both wet and dry. Huge pain to mount. SO thankful for local shop here in Atlanta that puts up with me and tire stretching. GranTurismoEast is a life saver. Cheetah blasters are your friend.

basically its an air tank with a flat fatty nozzle and a release switch. it can shove massive amounts of compressed air into a tire in a split second. much safer than the flammable liquid method for mounting stretched tires
