Re: Distributor Heat Shield
I would get one, but I won't be able to check if my distributor has the mounting holes until tomorrow. Does it have to be OEM to have those holes?
Re: Distributor Heat Shield
^It depends on a few factors such as the model year, part #, and if it's oem, etc. You'll want to look for the mounting points on the housing to be sure.
Great seller btw

Re: Distributor Heat Shield
heat shields, seems like theres some popping up here and there, i know the 4age has a heating situation, but what do all these parts benefit from protecting themselves from heat? seems to me everything on this motor should be covered up from the heat exerting from a this motor huh, just making this topic more interesting lol

You should be looking for 2 small threaded holes on the underside of the distributor.

The shield is meant to keep your distributor cap from melting/warping from the heat of the header. I have seen more than a few caps get destroyed because of heat coming up from the header. If you want to discuss the benefits of keeping components in the engine bay cooler, then please make you own topic in the Technical section and I will be happy to talk about it.
