As per title, I've gotten my hands on another rare JDM option, a roof mounted Clean-Ace unit this time.

I'm unsure if this option was ever available for the AE86 as well, I know it was for the AE92 and Starlet EP71 (uses a slightly different end part with the interior light)
The info on the net isn't exactly clear about this, some say is was also for the AE86 while others deny that fact.

This particular one came out of an AE92 and thus fits on all AE92 models (without a sunroof of course)
Plug & play, plugs into the existing interior light connector.
Fully functional unit complete with interior light and cartridges. The filter cartridges could do with some new filter cloth. Part numbers for brand new filters are alas unknown by me (been looking for those for some time now)

No indeed. If you have a sunroof, this in not for you. But that's exactly the reason why I changed out my roof for a solid one!

The Clean-Ace is for the ae86 because it is installed in mine. Do you happen to know how to remove it?

A bit of a late reply but yes, the screws are behind the interior light and the rearview mirror.
