3SGTE for AE86

Postby mrfuzzy » Sat Oct 12, 2013 10:34 pm

Have a 3SGTE I bought a while ago and never did anything with, it comes with mounts and modified oil pan to drop it in a 86, also comes with oil cooling line, will need manifold and some fab to get the turbo to fit but these make ridiculous power. Supposedly this cam from a danstoy car but that is yet to be confirmed, unknow miles and no compression numbers as I have never ran the motor, I did do a leak down and it tests good.

Looking to get $600 (Open to offers and trades)
Located in Chino, CA

I'll check on shipping, yah no ECU or harness you would probably want to run a aftermarket with this any way like a haltech or aem

When u say its for "Ae86" do you mean it's specific motor mounts to bolt up to the 86? Also, does the oil pan need fabbing still, since as I understand these motors sit at an angle naturally in MR2's and if not running a custom oil pan you could possibly starve it of oil.

Thanks in advance :)

Has mount and the oil pan was modified to drop right in, the PO said it came from a running 86 so I think if you got all the other parts it would be fine, the clocked oil system was a concern of mine when I got it and I have yet to take the pan off and check, I think you can change something in the head to correct it not sure but there are articles on it on here

that engine is a non turbo jdm 2nd gen hi compression
top feed fuel injectors the us verion turbo is sidefeed so tts not gonna work with the mr2
if you look at the side of the block if that is a turbo it should have an oil feed hole if not its not a turbo
not unless they changed the piston to low compression

i have the same engine and normally dan uses the non turbo block because of the mounting brackets is easier to convert rather than the turbo
