20v swap guys I need your input!!

Postby alavelle12 » Wed Dec 04, 2013 1:54 pm

Ok for all you guys running 20v swaps, what clutch/flywheel setups are you running and how do you like them? I'm going to be doing some drifting/spirited driving with mine and am trying to figure out the best setup for me.

Thanks,
Alec

you can get away with the stock clutch/flywheel. Unless you like to clutch drift, or just beat up the clutch when you drive.

yes if your in a budget stock flywheel will do but a lightened flywheel will really wake up the motor response wise.

Had one of these in my old one, great clutch and can take a bit of a beating, nice in the traphic too, don't get too much of a dead leg. http://japrace.com/products/Exedy-Sport ... E-20v.html , on blacktop 20v flywheel which is lighter than silvertop 20v, lighter flywheel would definitely make it rev better and quick but loose torque

That is completely untrue. A lighter flywheel will free up power across the board. The only place it will sacrifice it in stored inertial energy when launching.

Personally this is the clutch I would go with.

If it's mating to a RWD trans you will need this bearing. http://matrixgarage.com/products/exedy- ... earing-t50

The other option would be to put a 200mm flywheel on it and getting a standard AE86 disk and PP in it.
