I have been looking high and low for a brand NEW replacement 3 wire plug for the alternator. Mine is hella forked up and pops out from time to time. RTV will hold it in but i want to get a new one.

Queries to Toyota come out empty handed. Not even Rock Auto.

Anyone have any leads?

Go to the yard and get one from a LS400/ SC400, Its the same connector.

Caveat Emptor:
That's not a Toyota part, it is "NIPPONDENSO RF TYPE" and that means it is from a generic copycat source. The wire colors also do not match any alternator color code, to my limited knowledge, which means you have to ask how well the rest was copied. If it works, great. Just take a careful look at it to be sure, doublecheck how well the wires are crimped in there.

Im actually planning to de-pin and just change the plastic part of the connector. I may not buy this exact one, but it gives me a good starting point to finding what I am looking for. I never actually thought of looking for the Nippon Denso part. Per Cabe & Lithia, this connector plug is discontinued with no superceding part number. Not just the crimping, the contact spacing within the plug has to be considered, as there are a few different ones that look the same from the outside.

The genuine ND part is probably unavailable except as a harness segment. But if you're familiar with de-pinning, I'd still suggest getting one from a junkyard and using that. It may be old but that plastic usually ages very well, and real engineering resins are expensive--the clone stuff is more likely to fail, I'd guess. Should be one you can lop off any old Corolla in the yards, someplace out there.

I know this is an old thread, but for future reference the Toyota part number for the connector is 90980-10341 and it should still be available.

It might not be in the Toyota USA system (I'm not 100% sure, it's coming up a bit weird), but there is stock in Canada.
