2nd gear problems

hi i have a ae86 with 4age 16v engine, i am facing a problem my gear wont go from 3rd gear to 2nd gear easily , i have to do it several time to get it . can you please help me

Try replacing the transmission oil with new GL5 gear oil. The service manual calls for 85W90 GL4 or GL5. The synchros are not working properly due likely to age or lack of friction modifier.

If it's got the T50 gearbox, I'll put money on the little bush at the bottom of the gearstick being all worn and floppy
