20v to 16v oil pump/timing belt conversion

Postby alavelle12 » Sat Jul 06, 2013 2:43 pm

Alright guys, so I am trying to convert my blacktop 20v from a hydraulic to a spring tensioned timing belt. Now I understand that this requires a 16v oil pump and spring style timing tensioner, as well as a silvertop timing belt. My issues come in to what parts exactly would be best to use with the 20v, like a hicomp oil pump or other? I also need to know what you guys use as the pin for the spring tensioner, as I am converting my sr5 so i can't just pull one out of my motor. Lastly, do i need to get a 16v timing crank sprocket? or should the original 20v one work fine?

All p/n's would be greatly appreciated, along with links to where i might purchase the items.

Thank you,
Alec

High comp pump, 16v crank sprocket, any 16v tensioner and spring. The tensioner comes with the pin

Where would you actually get these from then? The dealership, or do you guys know of a better or cheaper place?
