problem resolved.

Make sure there isn't any moisture in the spark plug wells. It's unlikely it would kill all four cyls but not impossible. To eliminate the dizzy you could see if there is spark coming directly off the coil wire.
Are you bolting the coils on? They ground through their mount to the chassis. If you leave it hanging or don't have a clean connection where it mounts then you won't get spark.

Check inside the distributor cap for damp.
Diagnostic test ?

no spark coming from the coil wire and coil is mounted/grounded onto chassis. distributor cap/rotor look fine.
