Postby Kuromi_loves_toyota » Sun Jan 01, 2023 11:09 pm

i got my hands on some late model TRD Atlantic throttles not too long ago, theyre pretty bare bones, just throttles with butterflies, an ive been looking for a fuel rail and some injectors, but i cant seem to find much. im also looking to get an adapter plate made to fit the throttles to my 20v, anyone have ant suggestions for these?

Measure the inner diameter of where the injector seats to figure out which top feed injector size you need. Measure the distance between injector port centers. Now you roughly know what you need. Before buying injectors, check out the sweet youtube videos on building a custom fuel rail. There is different termination types for top feed. Decide which you think you can tackle. (Pipe w/ barb fittings exiting perpendicular; pipe with welded injector bosses exiting perpendicular etc)
Size your fittings to match the rest of your fuel system ie AFPR (AN -6, -8 etc).

Definitely not impossible, requires some tools, jigs, thinking.

I bought some fuel rail blanks (not sure what you call them) from AEM like 20 years ago

If you aren't already running an AFPR to match the fitting size from, just plan on AN -6. Way more than enough, and common sizing for AEM AFPR.

Mcmaster for raw materials, Earl's fittings.
If you need aluminum or stainless welding, you can call up performance exhaust shops and ask, some will be happy to help w small tig jobs. Places that build metal fences, fabrication services near you etc may help too.
