Postby Iggylevin » Sat Sep 05, 2020 10:37 am

Could my timing be off?

https://youtu.be/ZK1gd9-XlMc

I checked for spark, and fuel and its open itbs so im assuming that im getting air. Drove fine before I parked it before the summer started. Not sure how to check timing if thats what it is.

Thanks

If you have watched a few youtube videos you might have seen guys helping to start
supercharged dragsters. That's the guy with the squeeze bottle of fuel that puts a squirt
into the bugcatcher before starting to crank the engine. If you are running open throttles
you can do the same sort of thing... put a small amount of gas down each throttle and
then crank.

That should at least get the engine to fire for a couple of seconds. Of course, if you have
pulled the plugs after a crank but not start session, and they are wet with fuel, there
is no need to add extra fuel. Only add fuel if the plugs are bone dry. Pretty unusual for
the timing to be off just because the car was parked up for a while. Stuck injectors is
not that unusual though.
