Blacktop IAT?

Postby tlea » Thu Nov 07, 2019 4:53 am

On a different topic I am setting up my wiring harness for blacktop. This is going in a Morris minor and am using Tweaked universal harness w/ Elite 750 ECU. I have one plug that goes to IAT? (Assume I know very little about 20v engine management systems) I was told IAT is in airbox but I have no place in mine where one is located? It is factory airbox. Does anyone have a picture of what it looks like and where it goes?

The AE111 IAT should look like this...

And the factory manual says that there is a "cord" connected to the airbox
at the intake end in the position I have marked. As I can't think of anything
else with a cord that would plug into the airbox, I'm going with IAT sensor.

The sensor likely pushes into a rubber grommet fitted into a hole in the
airbox cover, and is retained by the small barbs on the outside of the sensor.

99% of the one's i have seen the IAT is always in the Airbox that hold the air filter element,
so at the other end of the intake hose to where your arrow is,
and not shown in your picture.
