That's a lot to cut... was it that bad? Seems like there won't be much left to cut for a rebuild.

"bad" - no... there is a small flow advantage when the head is cut to the point that the chambers edge meets the "squish" zone smoothly. In addition a smaller chamber allows for a better piston design since the chambers is now smaller

As to how much more this head can/could be cut... way back in 2010....... http://www.hachiroku.net/forums/forum/m ... he-rockies - Cliff Notes for those that don't want to read up... 32cc chambers :o

This head has at least one more .004-.006" cut left...

all finished, and re-assembled, with 7 of 8 intakes valves now set @ .006", and one @ .007", and on the exhaust side there are 7 valves now @ .008", and one @ .009"

Packed with dummy cams to keep the shims in place, as well as not having any valves exposed do to having the real cams in
