High Oil Pressure

Postby Cueball95 » Tue Dec 13, 2016 10:30 pm

Hello everybody, my 4AGE has just recently started reading higher then normal oil pressure, its currently a lovely -18C where i live, so ive had her plugged in. Im currently running 5w-30 cause of how cold it is.

- I dont know a lot about cars, but after driving my AE92 for a year now i have a grasp of whats normal and whats not normal, So any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

how much higher, in additional percentage? like 50% higher? pegging the needle?

does it go back to normal after it's fully warmed up after driving for awhile?

My stock bigport starts at 80psi, goes up to about 100psi when the oil is cold and settles down to 80psi above 3k rpm and 30 or so at idle once warm. Thats with an actual pressure gauge and has been doing that the last 2 years.
