this is more of just a fun topic and a strange curiosity for me.

Just wondering if it is possible for a 16v to run 20v itbs without running a computer! go!

Not possible. ITB's work with fuel injection, and fuel injection needs an ECU
to drive the injectors. DCOE carbs (or any carb for that matter) add fuel to the
air going into the engine without the need for an ECU.

Unless you want to call it an electric motor and run the whole thing with the starter.

I've heard of it being done with a jdm map ecu. But it basically ran like crap being constantly rich. Lowest buck option is megasquirt if you want to get it running right. Best option is don't bother unless you are building the motor, other than in noise there are no gains.
