Pretty sure I'm going to end up pulling my hair out getting this ECU firing a USDM 4age, but power FC's are familiar to me (nissan guy) and I know it will be worth the effort. Why are there so many different flavors of 4age, toyota?!! Anyways, USDM 4age injectors are low impedance correct? I'm looking at a dropping resistor plugged into my harness which is what leads me to that conclusion. Was the JDM 4age fitted with low or high impedance injectors?

JDM injectors were low impedance up to about mid '87, then went to the high impedance for the '88 and later 4AGE. Not sure how the later model, '88+ did. Best of my knowledge. As for the power FC? I think you have to get the 24-1 distributor for that. The USDM has the 4 Ne trigger + 1 G (G1) where the JDM has a 24 Ne + G1 or G1 G2. The tuners didn't much make things compatible for out Bastard set-ups. If you think of using a piggyback tuning device they don't work with our NA ECUs. Our ECUs work on a 9v signal and the JDM models work on a 5v signal.

thanks sirduece, that gets me pointed in a slightly better direction. you wouldn't happen to remember where you read about the jdm distributor being needed to fire this thing would you?
