Black top 20v part #'s

Postby hachi-6 D0ri » Wed May 27, 2015 2:50 pm

Can any one be kind enough to tell me what the Toyota part numbers are for the 42mm 20v crank bearings, thrust washers, con rod bearings and piston rings . I am having a heck of a time trying to order them.

Mains 11701-16010- then add 01,02,03,04 or 05 for bearing size
Thrust 11011-15010 superseded by 11011-15020
Big ends 13041-16110- and add 01,02 or 03

How would I know what bearing size to choose. Do I have to get the journals miched out?

Sealed Power brand, available from O'Reilley Auto Parts measure right down the middle of factory spec. I'd encourage you to platigage them before buttoning things up, but that will save you a few bucks and they are readily available.

On the under side of the block by cyl no.4 just outside of where the sump seals there are numbers stamped.
On one side there are 4 numbers to identify which piston size goes into which bore (there are 3 different standard size pistons)
On the other side there is 5 number stamped this is what you need, then on the crank counter balance weights there are also 5 numbers stamped. Add these numbers together for the Main bearing sizes.
The numbers are stamped in order of bearing position.
Example:
Block 12213
Crank 21222
Required bearings 33435

On the con rods there is a number stamped on the side of the big end for bearing size.

If you have micro polished the crank then these numbers may no longer be accurate for your engine.
I usually buy a no.3 Main and no.2 Bigend bearing and plastigauge to see what I need to order.

As far as I can make out the BT 20V bigends only differ from a normal 42mm 4AG bearing by not having the thrust side oiling hole as they use a different method for this.
