Need help choosing ECU for 7AGTE build

Postby Chosimise » Tue Mar 10, 2015 1:07 pm

So I got this 7afe motor, put a ported blacktop with toda cam, a Precision 6262 turbo with t3 manifold. Is there anybody who has done a similar setup before? Do I have to wire the motor myself or is there a wiring harness going to work on this? What ecu should i run it with?

any tuner shops in your area? What are they comfortable tuning?? (What do they tune on most often?)

By using an ECU that a local tuner is familiar with it allows you to try, and if you fail, there is a reliable tuner who knows how to tune your ECU

I don't think you will get any off the shelf harness for a 7agte. Pretty much anything you choose will have to be a custom job. As for ECU suggestion get whatever your tuner is familiar with. Personally i would get a Microquirt

Thanks for the help guys, I'll probably see what is laying around that I can get cheap and wire it bit by bit since there's not going to be a easy way around lol

Just get a microsquirt and a universal harness. Cut the connectors from your stock harness and start wiring
