Had a google but no luck and don't want to take the manifold off to measure it.
Anyone know what size the core/freeze plug is above the starter motor please.
Mines just started to weap
Core/freeze plug size
Re: Core/freeze plug size
The EPC shows the small size is 35mm (5 in the block) and the 1 bigger sized plug is 40mm.
So on the exhaust side there's a 40mm plug beside cyl 3 and a 35mm plug by cyl 4.

Re: Core/freeze plug size
Thanks, it's the 40mm one that's gone.
Re: Core/freeze plug size
Tiny hole at the end of the blade, makes me wish I had replaced them all when I had the engine out and in bits

The OEM ones are steel? I thought I saw pics of freeze plugs that looked like brass. Aftermarket maybe?

I think most are zinc plated. My engine sat for 15 years before I got hold of it hence the poor condition of the plugs.
Even the timing belt tensioner was seized solid, all the grease had gone where is had sat for so long.
Most engines won't be like this.
