4age 20v & 7afe HG comparison

there's been a bunch of people saying that they run the 7afe Head Gasket on the 20v's with no problems for some time now. the 7afe HG is 0.7mm thick, multi layer steel. just a hair under the TRD 20v multi-layer steel HG @ 0.8mm. so I spent some time researching with no definitive answers, just "yeah it works", and with the 20vs known to have higher temps near the #4 cylinder when running RWD coolant flow in an ae86, I wanted to be sure. so here's what I have so far...feel free to add, disagree, converse.

so I think it would work as is, BUT regarding the coolant temps at the rear of the head, I'm thinking about punching holes to match the 20v HG(with a legit punch, not going to drill or anything), since I have a 7afe HG sitting at home and I'm pulling my 20v apart for a few things this winter. they only cost about $20 on average, which is way cheaper than the $80+ for the TRD. even if you have to buy the punch, that's another $20 and it can be used for a bunch of other things.

Great info, thanks for posting this. I am curious about the differences with the 16v head & head gasket, but I can always pull up an image and compare it to those.
