hi guys,

had a bit of a search around but have struggled to find what im looking for.


i have just put a 20v slivertop 4age into a suzuki sierra.
the motor is running sluggishly, rough and rich.
i have swapped the afm, cleaned the o2 sensor and cant find any vacum leaks that im aware of. the motor was running fine when it came out the old car so im assuming the timing hasnt changed somehow.

ive checked the computer codes 62, 63 ,64 are being thrown, which from what i can find are for the auto solenoids, however now this is a rwd they dont exist. would this cause some sort of limp mode?

ill try upload a vid of the motor running.

it idles lumpy and rough and doesnt seem to clear up when revved and wont rev out much. (no tacho wired up yet still a few bugs)

You picked a kind of tricky one for your first post !!! That info on
the auto solenoids is pretty obscure, but I would go out on a limb and
say that an auto trans problem most likely won't put the engine into
limp home mode.

Assuming you swapped the complete engine, harness and ECU over,
and everything you un-plugged is now plugged back in, we can most
likely say that the problem is not sensor related. So that leaves not
enough air, too much fuel or timing being way out. So...

1. Check the AFM flapdoor is free to move and not dragging.
2. Return fuel line not twisted, blocked, kinked etc.
3. Pull the timing belt cover and check the cambelt has not jumped
a couple of teeth.
