Okay so I have these cams going in my 20v black top.
194-C CAMSHAFT 284/278 Duration, 9.30mm/8.50mm Lift.
And I'm just curious if anyone has any experience running these cams with or without vvt. I've been told that it would be very risky to run the vvt with cams this big. Basically just what to know which option would be better. vvt or not
Thanks

Re: Kelford 194-C. To run 20v vvt or not?
Why would it be dangerous?
Personally I would try to keep the VVT if I possibly could.

I've been told that because of the lift on the cams the vvt won't be able to get enough oil and there for not run properly and put my motor at risk? I'm not saying that thats true its just wjat I've been told by a few people so far.

Unless that advice came from one of about three big name companies that specializes in the highest performance of the 4AGE I would find a legitimate answer. I would start by talking to Kelford.
The way you describe it makes absolutely no sense but there may be something behind it that is valid so it might be worth looking into a little more.
