blue & brown VSV

Postby xarion » Mon Jun 09, 2014 5:26 am

I bought a 4AGZE engine where the black cylinder part of my brown VSV has broken off (not sure what that is). I will be doing the ABV mod which essentially removes the blue VSV, could I use this blue VSV in place of the brown one, (wont look so hot because of the brown connector going on the blue vsv) could this be done or should I start looking on ebay for a brown vsv?

I did away with both VSVs and piped the Fuel Pressure Regulator directly to the manifold.
The blue VSV might have a tab that would prevent the brown connector to fit but this can be filed down to allow the connector to fit.

Thanks, I think I'm going to do the same thing as I cant seem to find the OEM ecu anywhere on the net. Did you also do away with the solenoid valve for air bypass for the S/C?

I see, seems like the one pipe of the solenoid is also broken, any idea what it is called? Ebay just seems to give me the blue and brown vsv's

show me where its located on the motor or better yet, give me a part #. I can see if theres any other cars that use that same sensor. you would be surprised the amount of sensors Toyota uses on numerous cars.
